What is SPWSC about?
Voluntary Work.
Some of the activities which we engage in are:
- mentoring kids at CARE,
- plan events and parties for children at CSSC
- help out at organizations like IMH (Institute of Mental Health), NTUC Media etc.
We work with different people and have a wide range of activities.
E.g. mentoring, food rationing, goodie bag packing, visits to homes
I did not sign up during the CCA drive, so can I still join SPWSC?
Yes you can.
Send us an email t0 spwelfareservices@gmail.com with your particulars ( Name, Admin No., Email and Hp no.) Title your email as “Membership” and we will add you into our list :D
How am I notify for events?
The membership secretary will email you when there are upcoming events going on. You can also check our website regularly as events will also be posted here.
What do I do if I’m interested with your events?
Merely reply to the email we sent you. Please Note: Events are based on First come First serve basis. So, you have to act fast when email are sent to you, because each event can only take in a certain no. of members.
Can I join the Committee?
Yes definitely! However, you need to be an active member of SPWSC. And in order to see if you’re suitable for the position, we may need to interview you. But don’t worry, we don’t bite! (:
Will CCA Points be awarded for events?
Yes, CCA points will be awarded for every events you participated in. As for committee members, you earn extra CCA points when you organise events. E.g. FOC Camp
How often do I’ve to attend activities?
SPWSC is an event-based CCA, with about 1 – 3 events going on every month. You do not have to worry about not being able to attend all the events because it is voluntary-based. You join us only when you are free for the event. Simple, Flexible and easy! :D
